Who runs this, and how a listing gets on the site.
CalciumCT.com started in 2024 as a single page sharing information about coronary calcium CT scans. Readers asked the same question: where can I get one, and what does it cost?
The directory brings facility information into one place so you can compare listed self-pay prices where available and contact a center for details. Coverage is incomplete, and insurance benefits and prices vary.
We are not a medical provider. We do not perform scans, we do not interpret them, we do not employ clinicians, and we do not give medical advice. We are a directory of prices.
How listings work
A listing starts from the facility’s own published page for coronary calcium scoring, CPT 75571, or its health system’s, unless its notes say otherwise. 482 listings rest instead on Medicare claims data that show the facility performed the scan. 230 listings come from the list of calcium-scan sites a heart-scan booking network publishes, where the center’s own page lists only CT. The notes of every one of those say so, as they do for any other exception. A listing shows Verified once we have phoned the facility and confirmed the scan, its self-pay price and its referral rule; no badge means we have not confirmed it by phone yet, not that anything is wrong with the listing. A Verified listing carries the month of its call. Prices move and facilities do not tell us when they do, so call before you go.

How the site makes money
Clinics can buy a flat monthly featured listing for one ZIP code. The price is published, it is the same in every ZIP in every state, and it is paid whether or not anybody books.
We are never paid per patient, per call, or per booking. Partly because paying for referrals is what health-care law restricts; mostly because a directory that earns more when you book earns more by ranking whoever pays best, and then nothing on it is worth reading.
Featured listings carry a visible badge. There are no affiliate links on this site and no display advertising. If either ever appears, it will be labeled where it sits and described on the advertising disclosure before it goes live.
