Who runs this, and how a listing gets on the site.
CalciumCT.com is run by Eric Kuhn. It started in 2024 as a single page arguing that a coronary calcium CT is the highest-return fifteen minutes available in preventive health, after the argument went around X and a lot of people replied asking the same question: fine, where do I actually get one, and what does it cost?
That question turned out to be genuinely hard to answer. The scan is rarely covered by insurance, so there is a real cash price — and almost nobody publishes it in a form you can compare. This site is the directory that should have existed.
We are not a medical provider. We do not perform scans, we do not interpret them, we do not employ clinicians, and we do not give medical advice. We are a directory of prices.
How a listing gets verified
- We find the facility and confirm it performs coronary calcium scoring under CPT 75571.
- We ask for the self-pay price by code — not a “heart scan” quote, and never a chargemaster or gross list price. If a facility will not quote a cash price, it does not get a price on its card.
- We confirm the referral rule and the scheduling number by phone, or from the facility’s own published page.
- We record the date, the method, and the source.
Every card carries the month we last checked it. Prices move and facilities do not tell us when they do, so call before you go. If you find a card that is wrong, email us and we will fix it or pull it.
Listings we have not verified yet
Some facilities appear on their metro page marked Not yet verified. That means we have read the facility’s own published page and recorded what it says, but we have not yet picked up the phone and confirmed it.
Those listings show the published price with the date we read it, and they are deliberately kept out of ZIP search results until someone here has made the call. A published price is worth knowing and it is not a quote — facilities update pages late, and a scheduler is the only person who can tell you what you will actually be charged.
Right now every listing on this site is in that state. The directory is new. We would rather show you an honest gap than a confident guess.
How the site makes money
Clinics can buy a flat monthly featured listing. The rate card is published, it is the same for every facility in a county, and it is paid whether or not anybody books. We are never paid per patient, per call, or per booking — that would be patient brokering under Florida law, and it would also make every listing on this site worth ignoring.
Featured listings carry a visible badge. There are no affiliate links on this site and no display advertising. If either ever appears, it will be labeled where it sits and described on the advertising disclosure before it goes live.
Corrections
Wrong price, closed facility, changed phone number, or a listing you want removed: hello@calciumct.com. We do not need a lawyer’s letter first.
